BA3 Asset creation: Research Analysis

                   Environment

From my research I have looked into the different structural designs of castles and also the individual parts that make up a well-fortified castle for example the towers the keeps and also walls as well as strategic placing of a Castle within an environment. From my research I decided to create a Castle that will be placed upon the edge of a cliff similar to some of these images. The main reason I had the choosing to place my Castle in an environment such as this is because of how it can break the Castle up into multiple sections but still have one section to be the main keep while other sections can be used for different things but also I really like how the structure locks up on a mountaintop such as this and how it makes the Castle look more fortified

 

Castle Tower

As for the structure of the building from my research is apparent that square like structure with towers on each of the corners and maybe a main tower higher than the rest of them is the way to go I still haven’t pinpointed the exact way that I’m going to place these towers but I know that I would like them to have a similar look to some of these images

Castle Keep

For the main keep of the castle I wanted it to be connected to the towers as this would be almost like its main pillars and have the design as if the towers were protecting the main keep but also I would like to have the main keep look almost like it’s liveable with Windows and balconies but also have battlements placed along the top similar to other keeps that I have looked through my research for example in these images

Bridge

As for the bridge from my Castle I’m not looking to make a very complicated bridge something of a simple design similar to the ones that I blocked.in my research word the bridge would be flat with three or two pillows underneath it holding a lot similar to old-fashioned design for bridges the reason I’ve gone for this is to make the bridge in fitting with the mediaeval design and I’m going to use the Castle here are some images that I would like my Castle bridge tender blocked liking.

Summary

for my final design I decided to go with a Castle placed along multiple cliff edges and cliff pillars I wants to have this Castle in a mediaeval style with an outer wall and lookout towers as well as the mean keep for the Castle have for towers each upon its corners and also making tower placed directly on top of the keep as for the bridge within this Castle design it will hopefully join the cliff pillars to the main cliff and allow passage from the cliffs edge to the castles
