BA5: Art Test 1: Half life research

Within our BA5 project were asked to do two art tests. the first test the writers to do from the list was creating to environment assets from the game half life one. Start this project I decided to download the game and play through the game until I reached the assets that we were asked to recreate within Maya. this was also to get a feel for the environment in which the assets were placed and also to have some first-hand research and images of said assets. Here are some screenshots that I captured within the aim of the two assets.

Track Power Terminal









With the PC terminal are deemed to recreate this within Maya keeping many of the elements from the original model. so we definitely using these pages for reference when I start to construct a model also aim to keep the shape of the terminal so that people will be able to recognise it as the one from the game.

Tesla Coil


















with the Tesla coil I will have to make some changes to the overall structure of the object.  I my have to open up the metal gate surrounding the object to show the insides and different components of the asset. as with the track power terminal asset I aim to keep this as close to the original asset as possible and not deviating from the original design.
