Year 3: Game update: Towers: Sniper leaf (Sniper tower)

Sniper leaf

Research:
The idea for this tower came from both real-time strategy games and tower defence game is. though the idea of a structure that has a very long-range attack is quite commonly saw games the first one drew a lot of inspiration was from was supreme Commander as this has a unit within it that works as a sort of artillery been able to shoot over great long distances and a very slow rate it was these principles that I intended to import into this hour.




Blueprint:
implementing this time to the game was one of the easiest towers to as a required no change the script only changed to certain variables and worked perfectly. Looking at blueprints this tower is identical to the "Disperser" tower.

Variable balancing:
As there wasn't any part of the blueprint that needed to be changed the only things that have to be changed where the variables of the turret.the three variables needed changed where the tower damage her shots, tower fire rate PS and tower range.

In keeping with the idea of a slow firing high damage tower I set the damage to this tower to 200 per hit though this number is likely to change with them playtesting

With nature of this type of Tower the fire rate had to be set up to 7 seconds to balance its high damage.

This tower has the largest range of any tower within the game at a range of 6000 units this then makes it more appealing to players as there will be able to attack enemies from a greater distance.
